These are more photos from the ice storm that hit the Midwest last week. The top photo sort of reminds me of Narnia when it is under the spell of the witch… Everything is covered with frost and snow.
Taken with the Canon Digital Rebel XT / 350D and a Sigma 70-300mm Lens on December 12 - 13, 2007, in Davenport, Iowa.
Gorgeous pictures! Sweden (at least around Uppsala where I live) are covered in frost right now. It’s the weirdest thing to have had a week of cold but no snow. I hope you stayed safe and warm during the storm!
This blog is about: Iowa, Illinois, Midwest, United States, nature, wildlife, animals, birds, ornithology, insects, bugs, entomology, Davenport, Bettendorf, Rock Island, Moline, Quad, City, Cities
Wow Moe! That is really beautiful …
December 18th, 2007 at 8:25 pmhow amazing that ice didn’t do more damage! WOW
December 18th, 2007 at 9:10 pmSome of the pictures I took of severely damaged trees didn’t turn out the way I’d liked, but, all in all, we were spared a lot of extensive damage.
Thanks for the comments!
