Bald Eagle - Haliaeetus leucocephalus - also known as Le pygargue à tête blanche (French), aigle à tête blanche (French), Amerikaanse zeearend (Dutch), Weißkopf-Seeadler (German), and Pigargo Americano (Spanish).

These guys look really dignified. I can see why the forefathers made them our National Bird. Plus, they have a white wig just like George, James, Benjamin, Alexander, and all our famous forefathers sported. Excellent images.
Very nice, as always. You must have really enjoyed getting these shots. Very unique pics of the eagle on the ice flow! The eagle looks so calm and peaceful. Excellent pictures!

I have never seen a Bald Eagle in the wild. The first picture is great!
