Bufflehead - Bucephala albeola - also known as Petit Garrot (French), Pato chillón chico (Spanish).

The female is the lone bird on the left with the small white patch. The males have the large white “patch” that actually covers the entire back of their head.

Photos taken with the Canon Digital Rebel XT / 350D and a Sigma 70-300mm Lens on March 5, 2008, at Lindsay Park Yacht Club in Davenport, Iowa.
